The EOS RP's major differences are that it has a smaller screen, a shorter battery life, slower USB 2.0, slightly less autofocus point, and a slower continuous shooting speed.

Despite the Canon EOS RP having these downsides when compared to its $1,799 brother, it is a lot of camera for a grand. Where the EOS R wins, it doesn't do so by much. This could very well be the best Canon camera in terms of getting the most bang for your buck.

6. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV

The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is a favorite among professional photographers. While it is pricey at $2,499, you get good bang for your buck. The body comes with a 30.4MP full frame CMOS sensor, dual pixel autofocus, and a great construction. It can shoot 4K video at 30fps. In addition, you can shoot images at up to 7fps. To ensure you don't miss your shots, you also get a great 61-point autofocus system.

7. Canon EOS 1D X Mark II
